Cuando veo a los bailarines de ballet en escena, en mi cabeza voy guardando esos movimientos que me erizan la piel, qué entereza con la que danzan; como parece que pueden volar en las puntas de sus pies; como sus brazos y piernas se desplazan con tanta ligereza, como se enlazan con el otro cuerpo que danzan. La belleza de la posición de sus cuerpos, sus manos, sus pies, que deleite detenerlos en el tiempo y mirarlos con cautela. De aquí nace la idea de hacer algo que guarde esos movimientos para siempre, proporcionando un espacio donde observarlos y sentirlos a través de la fotografía.

La escultura y la danza tienen un regalo divino, el tacto; en la escultura para moldear y crear, en la danza para guiar, entender y acoplarse al otro cuerpo. Esta sensibilidad táctil es el reflejo de la sensibilidad misma del artista, de lo que siente, de cómo mira y entiende la vida. Ambas son un acto de comunicación, que fluye dentro y va hacia afuera en busca de un espacio donde tocar el alma, donde decir algo.

En esta serie fotográfica los bailarines de ballet se despojan del compás musical y el tiempo aritmético para junto a la escultura desafiarlo y dar cabida a un instante eterno. Pretendo juntar estas dos bellas artes y de cierta manera eternizar estos movimientos de ballet a través de los bailarines convertidos en esculturas.

  • Medium telephoto lens (for example, a 70-200mm)
  • Wide-angle lens (between 14 and 35mm)
  • Filters: polarizing (highly recommended)
    • Neutral and gradient (only if you have them)
  • Shutter, batteries, and charger
RECOMMENDED NON-PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT

Here is a list of «must-haves» that will help make your experience in the Galapagos as pleasant as possible:

  • Appropriate clothing for high temperatures:

Trekking pants: Ideally, they should be made of a lightweight, quick-drying material (pants that convert into shorts are practical and flexible.)

Bermuda shorts or shorts: for everyday use

T-shirts: Quick-drying sports shorts are ideal

Long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt: something light to protect you from the sun and cover up at night.

Swimsuit: If possible, suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. (It’s worth bringing a spare.)

  • Sunhat: If you’re more sensitive to the sun, wide-brimmed hats or a cap offer better protection.
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen.
  • Water bottle (refillable): Helps stay hydrated throughout the trip.
  • Snorkeling equipment: The 360 ​​Island tour includes the use of a snorkel and wetsuit, but if you want to do it more than once, you can also make room in your backpack for your own personal snorkeling equipment.
